Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information JED Air Conditioning collects when you contact us, request a quote, book a job or browse this website — and what we do with it.

Last updated 13 September 2026 · Applies to jedairconditioning.com.au and the services we provide across Sydney.

The short version

Plain English
  • We only collect what we need to quote, book and deliver your air conditioning work.
  • Your enquiry goes into our customer system so we can respond within 24 hours.
  • We never sell personal information, and we don’t run bulk marketing lists.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time.

1. Who we are

JED Air Conditioning (“JED”, “we”, “us”) installs, services and repairs air conditioning for homes, apartments and commercial premises across Sydney. We are an authorised Daikin and Haier dealer. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

We collect personal information in three ways.

When you enquire or request a quote

Your name, phone number and email address; the address or suburb of the property; the type of property and the work you need (for example a new split system, a ducted install, a repair or a service); your preferred timing; and anything you write in the message field. If you use the address suggestions in the quote form, the text you type is sent to Google’s Places service to return matching addresses.

When we do the work

Details of the system installed or serviced (brand, model and serial number), photos of the installation for our records and warranty purposes, invoicing details, and notes about the job.

When you use this website

Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. See Cookies & analytics for what runs on the page.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote — normally within 24 hours.
  • To schedule, carry out and follow up installation, servicing and repair work.
  • To confirm bookings and keep you informed by phone, SMS or email.
  • To register manufacturer warranties and honour our 10-year workmanship warranty.
  • To invoice you and keep the business records the law requires.
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the providers we need to run the business:

  • Our customer management system (HighLevel / LeadConnector). Enquiries from the website are sent directly into this system, which stores your details and sends our confirmation messages.
  • Google. Address suggestions in the quote form (Google Places), the map on our suburb pages (Google Maps, or OpenStreetMap where Google Maps is not configured) and website analytics (Google Analytics).
  • Manufacturers. Daikin, Haier or another manufacturer, when we register the warranty on a unit we have supplied or installed for you.
  • Advertising platforms (Meta and Google). When we advertise on Facebook, Instagram or Google, those platforms may receive limited information about your visit to this website, and Meta shares with us the details you enter in one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram. SeeAdvertising & lead forms.
  • Website hosting (Vercel), which keeps standard server logs.
  • Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers where required, and anyone the law requires us to disclose to.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers above, including our customer management system, Google and our hosting provider, store data on servers outside Australia (chiefly in the United States). By submitting an enquiry you consent to your information being handled by these providers under their own privacy policies.

6. Cookies & analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to measure visits, with IP addresses anonymised. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) that recognise a returning browser; they do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. It is not sent to us.

Fonts are served from our own site, not from a third-party font service. Instagram content on our homepage links out to Instagram; nothing from Instagram loads until you choose to open it.

7. Advertising & lead forms

We advertise our services on Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and onGoogle. To measure those ads and show them to people who are likely to be interested, we may use the Meta Pixel, Meta’s Conversions API and Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing on this website. These tools set or read cookies and similar identifiers, and tell Meta or Google that a device visited our site or completed an action such as requesting a quote. They do not give us your name from your social media account.

Lead forms on Facebook and Instagram. If you fill in one of our instant forms inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta sends us the details you enter — typically your name, phone number, email, suburb and the service you are interested in — and we handle them exactly as an enquiry made on this website: we use them to contact you about your quote, store them in our customer management system, and never sell them. Meta’s own handling of that information is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

You can control ad personalisation in yourFacebook ad preferences andGoogle ads settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising across many networks atyouronlinechoices.com.au. Blocking cookies in your browser also stops these tools working.

8. Marketing & follow-up

We will contact you about the enquiry or job you have raised, including reminders about servicing where relevant. We do not add you to bulk marketing lists without asking first. To stop follow-up messages, reply STOP to any SMS or email JED_AIR@outlook.com.

9. Security & retention

The website is served over HTTPS and enquiries are transmitted encrypted. Access to our customer system is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep enquiry details while we are dealing with your request. Job and warranty records are kept for the life of the warranty we provide (10 years on workmanship) and for as long as tax and business record-keeping laws require. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.

10. Access, correction & deletion

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Email JED_AIR@outlook.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this page when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the website or our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
